Paint the downbars clear so that they are not too conspicuous.
I agree with Joel, I think bars hanging out in the breeze kills the sleeper image in a "factory appearing" class but then again, so will parachutes, window nets and cutoff switches on the cars tickling the 9's.
Who knows, maybe Elco's with bars will draw some Craftsman Truck fans over to F.A.S.T.

Nobody in the class likes the way any of the safty equipment looks, the good news is were going on 9 years of FAST racing and I doubt you'll see one of these vehicles. Someone asked this question and all we can do is look at the rules as written and answer it.
