I was going to ask how much you thought it weighed until I saw the second post... emoticon

Even with the switch, my target weight for the Commander is under 3000 Lbs. emoticon

Inertia switch XF3Z9341AA Ford number new $14.30
Wiring pigtail 6" with heatshrink and connectors
3U2Z14S411 $27.25 , prices are net cost.
This is a three wire switch, C common (12v) NO normally open, NC normally closed. Wire it as a two wire or add a light to work if switch is tripped.

If you are running a mechanical pump, would you want to use this switch to cut ignition power or would it be necessary?

I would not run the ignition through it just the fuel pump.

There are many ways to lose a round, I wouldn't want to create another opportunity for a malfunction.

Chances are Dave you won't be burned alive with a mech fuel pump.If you are burned alive you can burn knowing a inertia switch wouldn't have helped you
