F.A.S.T. Mopars at the Valley

GREAT DAY AT THE VALLEY!!!

Congrats to Ed Cook for taking out the small field of eight cars..Best of the day 11.45 with some rear end vibration.

There is a new SHARK trolling the waters Mike Nasi and his 71 GTX.. Best of the day 11.69 and still dialing it in..

The track was in good shape hooking, I had personal best 60' of 180 twice..

All the cars seem to be running good should be a great fall with some low ET'S..

Thanks ED for the eats, Dalton and Gene for the beer..

SEE YA ALL IN VIGINA!!!

Re: F.A.S.T. Mopars at the Valley

I just want to thanks to everyone who showed up. We ended up with 8 F.A.S.T. cars and 2 F.A.S.T. X cars.

Qualifying Results :

1. Ed Cook 69 RoadRunner 440-6 11.67
2. Brian Wilsey 70 AARCUDA 340-6 11.73
3. Mike Nasi 71 GTX 440-6 11.74
4. Scott McKenzie 69 RoadRunner 440-6 11.96
5. James Cook 69 RoadRunner 440-6 12.31
6. John Gavin 68 Dart GTS 340-4 12.68
7. John Fredericks 70 SuperBee 383-4 12.73
8. Dalton Beaulier 68 RoadRunner 426-8 12.76

We decided since there were 4 in the 11's and 4 in the 12's we would run a mini 4 car ladder.

Round 1
Ed Cook 11.63
Scott Mckenzie 12.23

Brian Wilsey 12.22
Mike Nasi 11.69

James Cook 15.14
Dalton Beaulier 12.92

John Gavin 12.78
John Fredericks 13.25

Finals
Ed Cook W 11.46
Mike Nasi 11.71

John Gavin W 12.46
Dalton Beaulier 12.96

The F.A.S.T. X cars lined up for some retro style match racing with Billy Atwood's 65 Plymouth with Gary Gerard driving bested Brian ( MR. Wheelstand ) Silverman's 65 Dodge. Brian had a best of I believe an 11.04 so 10's are just around the corner. I want to thank these guys for bringing out these true crowd pleasing cars to race with us.

Long time F.A.S.T. racer Tom Cannon made the trip up to lend some moral support ( and a little break from the thrashing for VA ). John RR stopped by to tell us why he is not ready yet. Dwayne Porter conducted some business as usual and HP Mike Bonsanti had an impressive row of cars lined up.
Yes the food was good, but the BS was even better. Thanks again for showing up.

WOW! Some nice ET`s, for sure! Where did that 11.69 come from Mike?:holy:

We (mopar guy`s) are gonna need everything we have in Virginia. Terry`s gonna have 2 "10" second cars there, there`s gonna be a new ZL1 Camaro showing up built even stronger than both Terry`s car`s. :holy: In good weather and a killer track Greg`s Buick ran "10`s" in testing. If Gonzo gets the balls emoticon to dust the Vette off there`s another 10 second car! I also heard Ken`s Camaro will have a fresh engine!!! Joel won`t be making the final race :( , so were gonna need everything we have.

The Eaton Fall Nationals should prove to be fun, with alot of low ET's run.

Dave, you don't have to worry about a shortage of Chrysler products in attendence. The Chrysler guys always have a strong showing.
