Re: hurst comp/plus
mpclayton, nearly all of us do just that. The Muncie linkages don't work all that well. The rules for PureStockMuscleCarDragRace (PSMCDR)which the FAST F/S rules are patterned after state specifically : "Manual Transmissions: The transmission must be correct for the year, make, and horsepower claimed. 3-speeds may be upgraded to the correct 4-speed if originally available. after-market H-pattern shifters are allowed if no modifications to the floorpan are necessary. Line locks are not allowed. Scattershields are okay." I hope I'm not speaking out of school about this for F/S but that's what I've been doing for the last 2 years with no problem at tech. Just make sure the shift lever is stock looking and not a Hurst unit unless a Hurst stick was offered as an option. Good to see more 4 speed guys out there. Someone correct me if this is not right please.
