Rules Vrs Rules
Is there any difference in FAST F/S rules and the PureStockMuscleCarDragRace, (PSMCDR) rules? (Boy, try to say that fast 3 three times!) Just checking because if there is I don't see it and don't want to create a problem at tech from something I may have missed. Thanks for the help as always

Re: Rules Vrs Rules
There should be no differences, but if there is, PSMCDR rules are the accepted ones only.

Re: Rules Vrs Rules
Hey Pete thanks for the clarification. I ran Martin in '06 and Beaver Springs last summer with no problems what so ever. I'm building a new car for this year though and just thought I'd check. I'll be using a scatter shield for the first time among other things and didn't want to be surprised in tech. I've been talking with both Dan and Bob @ PSMCDR for advice and was pretty sure that if they OK'ed a detail that F/S wouldn't have a problem with it. They're kind of the gold standard I think with their rules and the way they conduct tech in.

Thomas, what are you planning on bringing out this year? Lots of new cars in progress which is great to see.

Re: Rules Vrs Rules
Jim,
I am very far along with a '66 Chevy II, series 100, 2 door post. A nice little old lady car, clean, minimal rust, 50,000 miles. Marina blue with a blue interior and a radio delete, cigarette lighter delete, heater delete car. No switches in the doors or glove box to turn on lights. Weighs next to nothing. Almost no options except a 4 speed, 12 bolt and yea an L79. I've had the car 3 years now and this is the year I could finally get around to prepare it. I hope it goes like stink!

Re: Rules Vrs Rules
sounds like the right combo, now take the heads and intake and exhaust , get them all hogged out and put it on top of a poked and stroked 400 small block and go hemi hunting in fast. thats what they need. but really sounds like a great car, good luck.

Re: Rules Vrs Rules
As much fun as that would be I'm a Pure Stock kinda guy. I've had several discussions with Dwayne Goodman about the car. He raced a near identical car in 1966 and came in runner up to Bill Jenkins at Indy in '66. Said they were quite competitive right from the factory. He still owns that car today and said also, yea they do go like stink!!

Re: Rules Vrs Rules
Rusty you read my mind. St Louis would be the perfect place to break it in I agree. See you there, hopefully in my rear view mirror!!!
