Re: Musclepalooza 2015

Brian and Shawn ran each other to see who had the daunting task of facing number 1 qualifer Donny. The other matchups were almost ideal with only a couple of tenths separating them.

The match between Brian and Shawn was a spin fest with Brian getting traction first running an 11.59 to Shawn's 12.03. Both of them at around 123mph. Donny on his by run ran 10.71 @ 128mph with hardly any issues. Corrected altitude was 3343' 88 degrees and 79% humidity.

The matchups had Tom beating John with a 12.22 over a redlight.
 Mike besting Jeremy 12.94 @ 107.85 to 13.06 @ 105.67
Gerry beating Chris 14.38 to a redlight
 Gene beating Ty on a holeshot 13.54@ 102.91 to 13.52@ 101.22 mov .00354

F.A.S.T. final:
Brian won the right to race Don for the F.A.S.T. class win. Don was in full race prep mode over at his trailer. He called all the GM racers together to make sure a 1971 340 Duster would not take down the mighty 1966 396 Chevelle. As they pulled to the line all the mind games and trash talk were mulling around in both Brian's and Don's heads. In the end the Chevelle powered it's way past the Duster 10.61 to a distant 11.15. As always the racers congratulated each other for the valiant effort put forth. Congratulations Don on the win.

Second round :
Mike ran 12.89 @ 108.07 vs Jeremy 13.15 @ 104.43 That gives Mike two in a row. Congratulations Mike

Second Round :
Ty ran 13.44 @ 101.67 vs Gene 13.624 @ 102.99. That gives each racer a win. Ty with his best 60' of 1.977

Second Round:
Gerry ran 14.13 @ 95.99 vs Chris with another redlight but a 14.38. Congratulations Gerry on the win.

Third Round:
Both racers had won a round so this round was very important to each of us. I would like to say it was old man skills that got me the .011 reaction time BUT we all know it was dumb luck.
 Gene ran 13.582 @ 103.08 vs Ty 13.521 @ 101.53

Mike and Jeremy decided to do a third round and the results were the same
 Mike 12.96 @ 108.48 vs Jeremy 13.08 @ 105.27

Chris and Gerry ran a third round also and again the results were the same.

Gerry ran 14.19 @96.77 vs Chris 14.90 @ 95.85
This was the first time they had run with a pro tree. As you all know launching the cars are hard enough but with that sudden urge to stab the gas as the yellows flash, instant wheelspin results. Thanks to you two for joining us.

We had one other new racer lined up to race with us on Sunday. Tom Cannon had met John Tambascio at the Mopar Nats. John and his son drove their 1970 440-6 4-speed Cuda to the Nats from CT ( 1530 miles round trip). On his time shot the clutch started to slip and he was done for the day. He still had to drive it home. John is hooked and said he would be back in the spring or maybe MIR.

I would like to thank the Lebanon Valley staff for getting us out pretty early so our long distance racers could get on the road. Mike Leyes from IN., Don and Tom from PA. Gerry from Canada and Ty from western NY. The Hemmings staff for the invite to again race at Musclepalooza XXII .
