MOPAR BIG BLOCK HEADS
I AM GOING TO BUILD A 500 C.I 440. I HAVE A SET OF THE "OPEN CHAMBER" HEADS FROM THE 70'S 452 CASTINGS I BELIEVE. SHOULD I LOOK FOR A SET OF THE "CLOSED CHAMBER" 906'S OR CAN I GET EQUAL PERFORMANCE FROM THE 452'S. I PLAN ON INSTALLING THE LARGER VALVES, PORTING ETC.

Re: MOPAR BIG BLOCK HEADS
I have a set of later model open chamber heads 452's, 946's (I'm not for sure what the casting numbers are) they are on a stroker 496 that I put together 10 yrs ago. A buddy did some porting and matching on them for me. They make good power and have been solid for years now.

Re: MOPAR BIG BLOCK HEADS
906 and 452 are both open chamber heads. Very equal in performance.
