Musclepalooza results
Musclepalooza was reduced to a one day race. Saturday was rained out at 7am and the last drizzle was soon after that. So we spent the day ( Thanks to Tom Cannon ) scaling cars. Some interesting numbers were discovered there to. We got two qualifiers in the morning.
Best Qualifying time:
1. Don Giannone 1966 396 Chevelle 11.08
2. Brian Wilsey 1971 340 Duster 11.57
3. Bill Atwood 1970 440-6 GTX 11.91
4. Tom Cannon 1971 Hemi Superbee 12.37
5. Jeremy Benson 1969 350 Lemans 12.83
6, Greg Gessler 1971 455 Buick GS 12.83
7. Mike Leyes 1969 1/2 Road Runner 440-6 12.95
8. John Gavin 1969 340 Dart GTS 13.01
9. Phil Roitman 1973 455 Buick GS 13.23
10. Gene Wilsey 1970 AAR Cuda 340-6 13.62
11. Ty Taccone 1970 350 Z28 Camaro 13.79
12. Steve Hodges 1970 455 Olds W30 15.27
So we decided to divide the field into three groups of four.
First Round:
Don's 11.30 defeated Tom's 12.37
Brian's 11.48 defeated Bill's 11.84
John's 12.89 defeated Jeremy's 12.91
Greg's 12.97 defeated Mike's 13.23
Phil's 13.53 defeated Steve's 14.64
Ty's 13.89 defeated Gene's 13.90
Second Round:
Don's 11.26 defeated Brian's 11.66
Bill's 12.16 defeated Tom's 12.92
Greg's 12.82 defeated John's 13.01
Jeremy's 12.93 defeated Mike's 13.16
Ty's 13.8 defeated Phil's 13.5
Gene's 13.85 defeated Steve's 14.62
Todays winners were Don, Greg and TY. Don had the quickest run so he is the big winner. Great job by everybody with no breakdowns and some very close races.
Steve has to get the big brass ones award for picking up the beautiful Olds W30 in Michigan. Dragging it to NY and then beating on it all day long. Many thanks go to Steve, Mike and Ty for making the trip to Musclepalooza.
As hard as it rained Saturday evening I could not believe that the crew at Lebanon Valley who started work at 6 ( ask Jeremy) had the track ready on time. The rain did not kill the party Saturday night but many shoes were hanging out to dry in the morning.

Re: Musclepalooza results
Thanks for the write up Gene. Even though LVD !@#$ the bed on Saturday we still had fun scaling everyone's car and catching up with old friends.
Sunday the weather kept the low et's away. The track prep wasn't that bad, really quite good actually. The DA had to be sky high and the air was wet and hot. Everyone's speed was in the crapper.
I guess due to the weather forecast there weren't a lot of cars at pallooza which made our event kinda speedy. I think we were done by about 4:00.
I sure had a lot of fun showing Greg Gessler's Buick some Dodge Taillight. I Hope Greg can make his way to MIR later this year for another .

Re: Musclepalooza results
Another great day of racing, too bad LVD cancelled Saturday's racing. Oh well, had a good time hanging out anyhow!
I took Greg the first time, but he got me when it counted! It amazing how closely matched that red Buick and my green Poncho are.

We had a great time. Finally got to meet everyone this year!! A great group of people. To Gene and everyone, thanks for taking the time to organize everything. Said it before. Steve is crazy!! Talked to him at 5 p.m. today and they were still driving. A true diehard. Again thanks to everyone. Glad we made the trip.

Re: Musclepalooza results
Thanks for posting results and for organizing the event Gene, and also a thanks for the hospitality.
We had fun despite not running on Saturday.
Nice meeting some new guys too.
I took a bunch of racing photos and will post them soon.
We drove back to Indiana straight through the night. At 12 30 am Monday morning we had just gotten into Ohio when a trailer tire blew out. A certain Kansas racer just drove on by us without helping.
