posticon Finally getting in the game...

Hi, my name is Chris & I'm a caroholic. I'm "The Boss" on the Performance Years Forum and the YENKO board, drinking buddy of goatless, friend and parts supplier to Rick Mahoney and a longtime fan of Pontiacs.

I picked the Purely PMD user ID because I've just purchased a 1971 GT-37 (read LeMans) that was once owned by Purely PMD's Rick Wright in Albuquerque, NM. This was intended to be their next project after they completed their memorable RA V 69 Judge but unfortunate circumstances changed that plan. The car moved through two friends of mine in Oklahoma and was then restored in PA by another friend of mine. I also chose this ID because somebody else took The Boss! emoticon

I'm planning on jumping in for a few events this year and will be at Musclepalooza in May and hopefully Stanton in September for the Pure Stock drags. Hope to meet many of you here & in the lanes.

It was originally built with a 350 2bbl, 3spd manual, 10 bolt open with vinyl bench seat tinted windshield and carpeting as it's only options.

Now (and I expect this was Purely PMD's original plan) it has a 455HO, T-400, 12 bolt 3:07 posi with PS, PDB, tach & gauges, Formula wheel, and power trunk release. Still has the bench seats recovered in NOS material and the door panels were duplicated as well.

Cool car! I am in the process of helping a friend build a 72' Lemans. It will be a GT tribute, originally it was just a plain jane Lemans. But, it has some nice options: PDB, A/C, P/S, Rally IIs, tinted glass. Originally Cameo White with an Ivory interior. It's getting repainted Sundance Orange with a black interior. We picked up a complete YS code 400 & TH400 a few weeks ago. Hoping to have it 95% done and ready to race by next spring.
