camshaft for 500 c.i. 6 pack mopar
I am building a stroked 440 6 pack engine for a 71 Cuda.
I am concerned about the camshaft I am considering.
It is a hydraulic roller with .238 int .250 exh at .50 with 560 int and 544 exh total valve lift using 1.61 rockers.
the engine is 505 cubic inch with 12.5:1 compression ratio.
The car will have f-60 15 polyglas with a 3.73 gearset.
My goal is high 11's low 12's in the quarter.
It seems too big to me, but any input from you guys would be greately appreciated.
Thanks,
bcuda1

I wouldn't use it, I'd call Dwayne Porter and get a cam from him.802 951 1955

Hello bcuda1,
after you call Mr. Porter, you might try calling Mr. Karakashian-Mr.6pk racing engines at (248) 477-7776 cell. he put together a custom grind for my 440 sixpack motor which is similar to yours. i've also heard Mr. Mike Bontisanti from this forum built a couple high horsepower 6pk motors for Mr. Ed Cook.
Give'em all a call and see which one speaks your language and shares your vision the most.
Good luck, sounds like you're building a killer car! Juan
