GM TI Mag Pulse distributors/ignition

Maybe not particularly FAST related, but seeing as many of you are pretty astute on these cars, figured I would get a few tidbits of info.

Is anyone very familiar with these? I was going through some old crap and found several original distributors for these systems and the numbers on the bands are for high level cars(big block Vettes/ 421 Tri power Pontiacs, etc).. I did have a problem with a Corvette that had this setup some time back. Several of the distributors and modules are NOS in the boxes.

Actually I understand that this setup was standard issue on ZL1 Camaros and the like.

Anyone??

Thanks

Mike B.

Hey Mike, one of those Vette distributor tags doesn't read 1112076 does it? I still need one for my 71 LS6 project. If I remember correctly, the TI distributors should all have the tachometer cable fitting, even for non-corvette applications. GM TI systems are pretty reliable until the connections and grounds start to corrode. I went through a crash course on TI systems a couple of years ago after both of my vettes quit working in the same month.
Let me know if you're getting rid of that stuff.

Steve,

I wouldn't do that to you, you know me better than that!! I have to dig through the boxes and see if the one you are looking for is there. I have these things in two locations now so let me see what I can find. I did find a primo NOS 1111047 which shows as being for a 1966 421 Tri Power Pontiac. :holy:
