Re: 66 427 Ford Fairlane Hardtop
Hi Steve, yes , You are right , wimbleton white was the only color offered for the 57 1966 427R Fairlane hardtops, but i am keeping the candy apple red , for my car, as thats the factory color, plus red is my favorite color, most of the 66 427R fairlanes, ended up getting painted, either by two toning, with the factory white, or a new color period, once they were out there for awhile, plus I do not want anyone to think, if I was to paint it white, that I would be racing a real 427R car, or worse, people thinking I am trying to pass it off , as the real deal, I have been recently checking out a real 427R car, to see how it looks, so I can make mine look as real as possible, and I did not care for the white paint, talk soon, Rich

Re: 66 427 Ford Fairlane Hardtop
Hi, Everyone, did all of You make ir thru the storm, as I am on the east coast of NJ, it was wet here, lucky, there was no damage to any of my outside cars, and van, just lost power at the shop, so, no working on the Fairlane, since I was stuck inside, back to ebay, and found and bought the front turn signal assembly,s, so it was not a total loss, plus I had plenty of food and drink, so its a good time!!, talk soon, Rich

Re: 66 427 Ford Fairlane Hardtop
Hi everyone, so for the long quiet spell, i have been down with a upper chest cold flue like thing for the last month, so its been tough to work, which i cannot miss, as i need the money !!, I,ll get some pics together about the car, as for locating parts, I now have all of the major interior items, to convert it to a black interior, as I found all four armrest in factory black, from a car in florida, also, i found a N.O.S. four speed shifter for it, I now have all major parts for the engine, as soon as the guy, who wants to but my Harley VROD, pays for it, then the engine will be handed over to the engine builder, plus work has been busy, enough I had to buy another town car for my limo business, and hire another part time driver, to free me up, to finaly get things done on the other limo cars, and of course, the Fairlane, I went to the fall Engishtown swap meet on Friday, which was a bust , due to rain, plus found nothing I needed, ofcouse Sat and Sun, was great there, but I was working those day,s, talk soon, Rich

Re: 66 427 Ford Fairlane Hardtop
Hello to all, sorry for the long quite spell, been working on the Fairlane itself, so going, but its getting there, also, now with the rule change on engine blocks, I now have 3 sets of Medium Riser cyl heads now, We are deciding which set, is the best to use, also, i have a factory block, and a Genesis block too, once I know which set of heads flows the best , after porting, then I can decide how much CI., I can build the engine, I found all of the dash trim, and knobs and such, for the interior, after looking at that red firebird, I am starting to think, its going to be quicker, to find a complete car, small block, or big block, that i can swap my drivetrain to, and save a lot of time, and money I bet, i have got three i am looking at, but I want to be able to see them in person, to make sure its not a bigger problem, than its worth, Talk soon, Rich

Re: 66 427 Ford Fairlane Hardtop
This one might be worth looking into.

I have not seen it, but it sounds like it is headed down the right road. You would want to lose the cal-tracs for FAST, though.
