G70 x 15 vs G60 x 15 Polyglass tires
Is there an advantage of one verses the other? Hypotheticaly, If Dave D. decided to build a 1970 RR, with the G60 x 15 tires, instead of his awsome 1969, do you think his qtr mile times would be slightly faster or slower?

Nobody really knows? If i had to lay money one way or the other I would bet on the G70 Firestones. The best 60ft ever goes to Pennington, Nelson, and i think the RR is in the 3rd spot, all Firestones.

The G-60 is a wider tire,which means,running them in front,would cause a bit more drag down the track.
Guess it would be a toss up,as to which is better.
That being said,why can't my tricked out '85 Mustang,with 427 Dart stroker,hook on a tire anywhere near that small size?? I have adjustable everything!

I don't think this is true any more.

Although the RR went 1.5X 60ft`s several times too. The lastest time was at Palooza with threads across the entire tire. (1.56 60ft)
It`s still a wash.. maybe?

So is there any advantage using a Firestone vs a Goodyear tire of the same size, or visa versa? Is one tire better than the other or are they basically the same when it comes to traction?
